Terms of Service

1. Scope of Services

Guthrie Highland Pipes provides professional Highland bagpiper services for funerals, weddings, and events throughout Central Texas. Services are customized based on your specific event requirements and agreed-upon pricing.

Service offerings include ceremony performance, processional accompaniment, and event coordination as discussed during the booking consultation.

2. Booking and Availability

Booking requests should be submitted as early as possible. Availability is subject to confirmation and may depend on event date and location. A deposit is required to confirm your reservation.

Most dates are confirmed 2–6 weeks in advance. Earlier inquiries are more likely to be available. You will be notified of confirmation status within 24 hours of your inquiry.

3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations within 14 days of your event will result in forfeiture of your deposit. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to other dates or clients.

Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the event may be eligible for a refund of the deposit, minus a reasonable administrative fee.

In the event of verified emergency or force majeure, exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

4. Payment Terms

Deposits are non-refundable. A deposit is required at the time of booking to hold your event date. The deposit amount will be specified in your booking confirmation and will be credited toward your total service fee.

The remaining balance is due in full no later than 7 days before your event date. Failure to pay the full balance by the due date may result in cancellation of services.

We accept payment via credit card (processed through Stripe) and other payment methods as discussed during booking. An invoice will be provided with payment instructions.

5. Weather and Outdoor Events

Guthrie Highland Pipes performs in a wide range of weather conditions. However, in cases of severe weather warnings, tornadoes, or hazardous conditions, we reserve the right to reschedule or modify the service scope.

You will be notified as soon as possible if weather-related adjustments are necessary. Weather-related rescheduling or modifications are not grounds for refund; however, alternative dates will be offered when possible.

6. Limitation of Liability

Guthrie Highland Pipes is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the provision of services or inability to perform services. This includes loss of enjoyment, emotional distress, or third-party claims.

In the event of cancellation by Guthrie Highland Pipes (other than due to client request), liability is limited to a full refund of payments received.

The client assumes responsibility for obtaining appropriate insurance or contingency planning for their event.

7. Intellectual Property

All musical arrangements, recordings, and performance materials created by Guthrie Highland Pipes remain the property of Guthrie Highland Pipes.

Photos and recordings taken during your event may be used for promotional purposes unless you specifically request otherwise in writing prior to your event date.

8. Professional Conduct

Guthrie Highland Pipes is committed to delivering professional, respectful, and timely service. Punctuality is guaranteed, and all performances are conducted with professionalism appropriate to the event type.

Services are licensed, insured, and fully compliant with all applicable regulations.

9. Changes to These Terms

Guthrie Highland Pipes reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
